Biography
Bill Hagerty was born on August 14, 1959, in Gallatin, Tennessee. He earned his B.A. from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. He worked in private equity and business consulting. He served as U.S. Ambassador to Japan from 2017 to 2019 under President Trump. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2020.
