Biography
Kurt Alme served as U.S. Attorney for the District of Montana during the first Trump administration from 2017 to 2020, and was reappointed in 2025. He filed for the Senate race on the last day of the filing deadline on March 5, 2026, minutes after Sen. Steve Daines withdrew and endorsed him. He won the Republican primary with 76.2% of the vote.
