Scott Perry was born on May 27, 1962, in San Jose, California. He earned his B.S. from Penn State University and his M.S. from the U.S. Army War College. He served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, retiring as a brigadier general. He served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2013. He was elected to Congress in 2012 and has served since. He served as chair of the House Freedom Caucus.
