## Biography

Sherrod Brown was born on November 9, 1952, in Mansfield, Ohio. He earned his B.A. from Yale University and his M.A. from Ohio State University. He served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1975 to 1982 and as Ohio Secretary of State from 1983 to 1991. He served in the U.S. House from 1993 to 2007 and in the U.S. Senate from 2007 to 2025, when he was defeated by Republican Bernie Moreno.
