Vicente Gonzalez was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. He earned his B.A. from Texas A&M International University and his J.D. from the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. He was first elected to Congress in 2016 representing the 15th district. After redistricting, he ran in the 34th district in 2022 and was re-elected in 2024.
