Biography
Shelley Moore Capito was born on November 26, 1953, in Glen Dale, West Virginia. She is the daughter of former West Virginia Governor Arch Moore. She earned her B.S. from Duke University and her M.Ed. from the University of Virginia. She served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2001 to 2015. She was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2014 and re-elected in 2020.
